Rounders' Tournament

Children in classes 3 and 4 have had a great time playing against each other over the past couple of weeks in a rounders' tournament.

Results 1st - Green  (4 points)

            2nd - Blue    (3 points)

            3rd - Yellow (2 points)

            4th - Red     (1 point)

Unfortunately, the matches planned for classes 1 and 2 had to be postponed because the grass to was too wet for them to play on. The matches will be played as soon as possible after half-term. The points from their matches will be added to those above to get an overall winning team.

Classes 1 and 2 had great fun playing their matches with the help of class 4.

Results: Equal 1st - Yellow and Red (3 1/2 points)

                       3rd - Green              ( 2 points)

                       4th - Blue                 (1 point)

Therefore the overall winners for our first Intra- house tournament are GREEN TEAM!

Congratulations to all the teams on their great sportsmanship.

A cricket tournament will be held before the summer holidays and don't forget to put Sports' Day into your diaries - Tuesday 24th June at 1.30pm.

Other PE Activities

Class 4 and Class 1 have enjoyed some joint P.E sessions. Class 4 designed some different events and then led and supported Class 1. It was a great success and everyone enjoyed themselves.

 KS1 Multi-sports' Tournament

On Wednesday 17th June, all of the Y1 children went to Tuxford Academy to take part in the KS1 Multi-sports' tournament. They were really lucky with the weather and they all had a great afternoon, taking part in a variety of activities which had been organised and run by the Y8 pupils.

National Sports' Week

Milton Cricket Festival

Some of our Y4s attended the cricket festival on Monday 23rd June and had a brilliant day playing against seven other schools. Once again we got into the final, but despite playing a fantastic match, ended up with the runners-up trophy. A great day was had by all.

Sports' Day

On Tuesday 24th June we held our annual sports' day. Thank you for all your support - it was great to see so many parents, grandparents, carers and friends there. The children all tried hard and had a fun afternoon. Despite the black clouds looming, we managed to get through all the races before the heavens opened just as we were about to start the last race of the day. However, this didn't stop many of the dads, who ran their own race whilst everyone else ran for cover!

Well done to Blue Team who were the overall winners this year.

Swimming Gala

The final event of the week was the annual swimming gala against four other local schools. What a talented group of swimmers we have-four of our children even swam against children older than themselves. Everyone tried their hardest and we were joint runners-up!

Well done to Henry, Peter, Daisy (Y6), Paige, Abby, George, Ben (Y5), Tobias, Connor (Y4) and Elizabeth and Ava (Y3)
